Dear Sancta Maria Family,

Wishing you a very Happy New Year and a joyful Sankranti!

As we step into 2025, I extend my warmest wishes to each of you for a year filled with health, happiness, and success. This is a time for new beginnings, and the spirit of Sankranti, which celebrates harvest, prosperity, and togetherness, inspires us to reflect on the abundance in our lives and the opportunities ahead.

The year gone by was a tapestry of achievements, learning, and cherished moments that brought our Sancta Maria community closer together. I take immense pride in how our students, parents, and staff contributed to making 2024 a year to remember, from academic milestones and cultural celebrations to global recognition in various platforms.

In recognition of the extraordinary talents and accomplishments of our students in 2024, we hosted a Recognition Ceremony in December to honour their achievements. Separate ceremonies were held for the Primary, Middle, and High School divisions, celebrating the unique successes of each age group. These events provided an opportunity to applaud the dedication and hard work of our students, whose efforts inspire us all.

I would also like to highlight the importance of the parent-school connection, which I believe is crucial to a child’s holistic growth and success. Throughout 2024, we worked extensively on fostering this connection through initiatives like:

  • Coffee Mornings: Informal sessions that encouraged open dialogue between parents and the school.
  • Parent Workshops: Held at various levels to provide insights into effective parenting and student support.
  • Parent Partnerships: Collaborative efforts to enhance the learning experience for our students.
  • Parent Guest Lectures: Opportunities for parents to share their expertise and experiences, inspiring our students and broadening their perspectives.

These initiatives not only strengthen our bond as a community but also boost student motivation and confidence. When students see the active involvement of their parents in their education, it reinforces the value of learning and builds a supportive ecosystem for their growth.

In 2025, we aim to soar even higher, guided by our commitment to fostering holistic growth and unlocking the unique potential of every student. This year, we look forward to:

  • Introducing innovative programmes that nurture critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Strengthening our connections with the global community through the International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS).

We also remain deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our parents, who play an integral role in our journey. Your encouragement and partnership empower us to continually raise the bar for excellence.

As we celebrate Sankranti, may the festival’s spirit bring warmth and positivity into your homes. Let us embrace this season of renewal with gratitude and enthusiasm for all that lies ahead.

Together, let us make 2025 a remarkable year for Sancta Maria International School and our cherished community.

Warm regards,
Hema Sanjay
